You won't find a networking event at Tillage, a founder mingle, or the million other events that fill your calendar and you with FOMO, while adding to the burnout that leads to loneliness and isolation. Tillage Gatherings are an invitation to rebel against the hustle porn and to engage in activities that are restful, restorative, and rejuvenating.

Join us for a Forest Immersion Walk led by Brian Kim, Tillage member and founder of Trellis Life and Wellness. We'll meet at Tillage at 12:30pm and walk into Golden Gate Park to explore the nature that abounds right in our backyard. In a fast-paced, hyperconnected world, we often become disconnected—from ourselves, from others, and from the natural rhythms that bring balance and clarity. Forest Immersion is an intentional practice designed to restore that connection. Blending the principles of Forest Bathing with mindful movement, these guided experiences offer space to slow down, breathe deeply, and engage your senses in the healing presence of nature.
In the venerable words of Thorin Oakenshield, “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” The members' meal is our invitation to pause from our work, from production, and intentionally value food and cheer (and maybe even a song) together. Gather with other members at Tillage at 6pm for pizzas and calzones from Azul Wildflour, the non-profit that we're excited to be supporting.
WHERE IS MEANING FOUND? "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity." ...so opens the ever-provocative "Qoheleth" of Ecclesiastes. Inside this little book we find a view of life "under the sun", calling into question that which we pursue to the detriment of all else. To strive for meaning is to join a universal race. We all want the good life, but it can feel as though we chase after it like someone running after a gust of wind. Why? Nearly 75 years ago, John Steinbeck penned his magnum opus, "East of Eden", chronicling two intermingled families under the sun, playing on themes of restlessness, purpose, meaning, redemption, and "hevel", that enigmatic little word that haunts Ecclesiastes. Join us on March 26 as we explore aspects of the meaningful and where it is found, as we place Qoheleth's "Ecclesiastes" in conversation with Steinbeck's "East of Eden". We'll have an evening of lively discussion, libations, debate, and readings aloud as continue our salon series: How to Survive the Coming AI Utopocalypse[0].
